Writing Samples
Included below are a few of the articles I wrote as a newspaper reporter for The Universe, BYU's school newspaper. I covered the school's football team but also had the opportunity to write on other sports-related topics such as the Olympics and the NBA playoffs. One of my articles, "BYU Football is Back", was selected by the newspaper's editor to represent the school in the Hearst Journalism Contest. Over the span of four months I conducted interviews with over 30 individuals (including BYU head football coach Bronco Mendenhall) and wrote over 19 articles, all of which were published in either the print or digital versions of the newspaper.
